EastEnders ended with a major duff duff tonight after Frankie (Rose Ayling-Ellis) told Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) that she thinks she’s his daughter – and the internet is ablaze with theories.
The newcomer dropped the bombshell revelation after a horrified Mick, who’s been worried about her obsession with the family, learnt she’d taken Ollie to the park.
As Mick confronted Frankie over her actions, she then threw a curveball that he is family.
‘Your family is my family,’ she said. ‘I think you’re my dad.’
While some fans aren’t convinced that Frankie and Mick are biologically related, others reckon that he may have cheated on his wife Linda (Kellie Bright) many moons ago.
‘Omg this means Mick cheated on Linda as they’ve been together since they were kids,’ wrote one.
Others, reckon that Frankie could be the result of secret abuse that Mick suffered when he was younger.
‘I’m sticking with the rumour/theory that Mick was sexually assaulted in care by a woman who got pregnant with Frankie as a result,’ another wrote. ‘It would highlight female on male assault which is rare for soaps. I’m all for it if Eastenders do it respectfully.’
Not everyone agreed with this theory though, and one fan highlighted: ‘Okay hear me out, if it turns out Mick was abused in care, surely it would’ve triggered him all those years ago when Linda told him she was raped?’
What’s the truth? Did Mick have Frankie out of wedlock? Is Frankie confusing Mick with someone else?
Only time will tell…
