EMMERDALE'S Michelle Hardwick has revealed she and wife Kate Brooks hit the the IVF jackpot first time after welcoming their son Teddy.
The actress, 44, gave birth just three weeks ago and has now taken to Instagram to share details from her pregnancy as part of National Fertility Week.
The couple documented the entire process, from opening the syringes that they used to inject Kate's eggs into Michelle, to the positive pregnancy test and the soap star's growing bump.
Michelle wrote: "As it is National Fertility Week, we just wanted to share a glimpse of our amazing IVF journey.
"From the initial injections, to the transfer of Kate’s egg to me, it’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, but one we wouldn’t change for the whole world!
"We were extremely lucky that it worked first time, as we know the journey can be a lot harder for some. So whatever stage you are at with your fertility treatment, try and stay strong and stay positive. Teddy, you made it all worthwhile."
According to the NHS, just three per cent of women aged 43 to 44 achieve success through IVF.
Fans were very supportive, praising the couple and using their experience as inspiration for their own IVF journeys.
One commented: "You absolutely beautiful lot!! 😍 An incredible journey. Much love xxxx."
Another said: "Beautiful little family xxx enjoy every minute xxx 😘."
Announcing her baby new on the site last month, Michelle beamed in her hospital bed with Teddy, wrapped in a towel and wearing a knitted hat, snuggled beside her.
The second photo was in colour, with the little one under a rainbow blanket as Michelle gazed adoringly at him.
The actress captioned the post: "On Friday 9th October, this handsome little chap entered the world.
"Edward 'Teddy' Peter Brooks we are so in love with you 💙 #ourlittleTeddyboy."
The new mum, who plays Vanessa Woodfield in Emmerdale, shares a stunning home with wife Kate and their dog Fred, after they moved in together two years ago.
The couple married a year ago at Graceland when they eloped to America.
Michelle recently posted a throwback snap from the big day alongside a picture of her growing bump, writing at the time: "What a difference a year makes!
"Happy 1st Wedding Anniversary to my soulmate, best friend and beautiful wife. Here’s to the next chapter Brooksy. We love you so much #fredlooksthrilled #countingdowntheweeks."
She and Kate announced that they were expecting their first child together in April.
The loved-up pair shared a photo of Michelle's bump and their beloved pooch, simply adding: "Fred's big brother duties commence in October #BabyBrooks."
