Ex-Page 3 girl Jess Impiazzi lands role in BBC drama after ditching reality TV

Glamour girl Jess Impiazzi is set to star on hit BBC drama Strike.

The former Page 3 favourite has landed a role after secret meetings with execs.

Jess, 32, has already started filming on the series, which is based on novels by JK Rowling.

A show insider said: “This is a really big moment for Jess. Strike is such a high profile show. It’s watched by millions of viewers.

"There’s a good chance this could be her big break in the acting world.”

After making her name in glamour modelling years ago, Jess carved out a career on reality TV with appearances on Celebrity Big Brother and Ex on the Beach.

But Jess, who is reportedly dating footballer Jermaine Pennant, is now focussing on acting in a bid to make it big.

Earlier this year, she said: “I’ve pulled away from reality TV.

"I don’t have an agent for that kind of work anymore."

Jess previously warned Love Island stars not to have sex on screen and to be "careful" about their actions as it "never goes away."

She claimed having sex on the MTV programme almost ended her career.

She told The Sun: "They [new Love Islanders] are young when they go in, you’ve got to think long-term, a lot of these shows are a conveyor belt of people.

"There’s a couple that will do well and carry on doing well for a few years but you’ve got to be prepared for when it’s not and you don’t want to ruin anything for your future.

She was left distressed after finding out TV bosses aired footage of her having sex while drunk on the show.

Jess said the racy 'mistake' haunts her to this day, years later.

She added that she "completely" regrets the decision and sees things "differently" now she is older.

The star previously landed a lead role in Override, alongside stars Dean Cain, Luke Goss and Kimberly Wyatt.

Jess also teamed up with Compete app and The Human Society International for their Fur Free Fashion Challenge, raising awareness and funds to prevent animal cruelty in the name of fur.
