Gemma Collins praises her family for supporting her new healthy lifestyle as she goes running

GEMMA Collins has thanked her family for being "supportive" of her new healthy lifestyle as she was pictured out running.

The 40-year-old Diva Forever star has been sharing her weight loss updates and workouts with fans on Instagram as part of her health kick.

Former The Only Way Is Essex star Gemma posted a series of photos of herself after a run, saying she was "feeling good and making the most" of it.

"The best day with my family," she captioned the exercise snaps of her beaming ear to ear. "So supportive of my new lifestyle it really helps.

"My body is going to be a fine tuned machine but it will take time and I'm chilled, and all good things come to those who are patient!"

She concluded the post by letting fans know she was "feeling good and making the most of the day" as she spent time with her nephew Hayden.

The final photo saw her place a gentle kiss of her nephew's forehead, before telling fans on her Instagram stories they were off to the zoo for the day.

Yesterday, Gemma revealed she's slowed down with her fitness in recent days as she battles a bad week of polycystic ovary syndrome.

The reality favourite told her followers she's taken it easy after battling a hard week but "found strength to keep going" with some of her training.

She explained: "I did easier work outs and knew to listen to my body. I went to bed earlier got up a little later and didn’t over do it.

"I’m always juggling a lot of plates but I just took it slower. So this post is for anyone who needs to dig a little deeper you can do it."

Gemma, who has lost three-and-a-half stone, recently rebranded herself as the "fitness queen" as she undergoes a "massive health overhaul".

She also revealed that she regrets promoting diet injections when she was in a "desperate place to lose weight", as she now opts for the natural way.

Speaking on the GC podcast, she said: "I kind of regret doing it but I feel like sometimes you’re in such a desperate place and you want to lose weight but actually I’ve come away from all the diet promotion because I wish we could get rid of that word diet."

She showed off her incredible weight loss earlier in the week, wearing a hot-pink gym set for a series of impressive photos.

Gemma admitted she has invested in a treadmill so she can still workout at home when it's raining outside, and even shared a video of herself using it.

She said: "I've got gym wear launching today! I'm proud of this collection. It's going to get you motivated in the gym and looking fabulous."

The GC, who has been sharing her daily fitness regimes with her social media fans, has revealed that she regrets neglecting her health in her 30s.

The reality star explained: “It is so important that we keep getting that message home to people, that beauty is more than just these pumped up faces, it’s not all about that.

"It’s crazy to think that one minute I was obsessed with clothes and shopping and now I’ve actually got obsessed with health and exercise.

"It’s me Gemma, my new name is fitness queen. Since turning 40 I’ve become so much more aware of my health and I’m kind of regretting maybe not taking my health as seriously as I should have done.

"In our 20s and 30s we don’t think about it, I am trying to be so fit and healthy right now, I am on a massive health drive."

Gemma recently showed off her incredibly small lunch as she continues her health kick, tucking into a meal of salmon and five slices of cucumber.

She explained that lockdown had been a blessing in disguise for her because it's given her time to make changes in her life.
