Jim revealed: “We knew she was a fan of the show,” and Martha added: “Yes completely it was written for her.”

“We were thrilled,” Jim added on discovering the actress agreed to guest star.

“A dream and she is a dream,” Martha noted. “She’s amazing we dared to dream that she would say yes.”

“But it was quite late when we knew she was coming in.”

“We didn’t get to meet her either because she wasn’t in our cohort,” Jim commented.

“Such a shame she was there we didn’t get a chance to say hello.”

Meanwhile, the writers confirmed there were no plans for any future guest stars.

Jim said: “When we cast Jennifer it was very much because it was a Christmas special.
