Chelsea Fox (played by Zaraah Abrahams) is having a rough time in Albert Square, and there is no sign of things letting up. The EastEnders local has been trying her hardest to escape her abusive husband Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) on the BBC soap but he remains firmly in control.
Fans of EastEnders have been rooting for her to break free and were left stunned after Thursday evening’s showing.
Planning her escape from her serial killer husband, poor Chelsea came up against another emotional hurdle when she discovered he had registered baby Jordan without her being there.
This is another effort to keep her under his thumb after already alienating her from her friends and family.
However, this episode did get fans talking as they were left confused on how Gray would be allowed to register the baby’s birth alone.

Dion wrote: “I didn’t know dads could register the birth on their own #Eastenders.”
Another confused fan, Laura, added: “How is Grey able to register Jordan’s birth and put Chelsea on it without her being present?! #EastEnders.”
As dramatic and heartbreaking it was for Chelsea to find out that Gray had done such a selfish and malicious thing, fans were baffled.
Millerite tweeted: “I’ve just watched #EastEnders … you can’t register a birth without them being present.. what a stupid storyline!!.”
Choosing to ignore the plot hole, some fans couldn’t get enough.
“@ZaraahAbrahams was incredible tonight. I had a feeling that Gray would register Jordan’s birth without Chelsea.
“Chelsea may never escape Gray now. She should of told Denise when she had the chance. That could of been her last chance. #Eastenders,” Ryan said.
Fuming at the storyline development, Dee said: “I wouldn’t blame Chelsea if she just murdered him. I’d do it myself at this rate #EastEnders.”

Hoping to sever all ties with Gray, Chelsea planned to register Jordan without his father present, but Gray was one step ahead.
Some fans could detach their anger long enough to show appreciation for the onscreen acting that had stirred these emotions.
Applauding the villain’s portrayal, Jager said: “You have to respect how good at acting Toby-Alexander Smith who plays Gray is, He often makes me forget the character is a murderous abuser and I sometimes even like Gray. So he really plays the narcissistic role very well because he even reels me in, haha. #EastEnders.”
Hopefully, things will start to look up for the mother-of-one with friends Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol) and Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) planning a way to try and get her out of Walford.
Viewers are wondering if she will make it out in one piece or crack under her husband’s constant pressure and watchful eye.
Unable to breastfeed her baby, Chelsea will be prescribed antidepressants from the GP in future episodes, which only make matters worse.
Lovers of the show already have unsettled nerves as several heavy storylines are all running simultaneously.
Stuart Highway’s breast cancer secret, and Janine Butcher’s child custody battle are also playing out.
EastEnders continues on Monday at 8 pm on BBC One.
