Hawkeye fans have been hoping to see the character finally take centre stage ever since he debuted in 2011’s Thor. 10 years later, Disney Plus is now premiering the character’s own show, which will focus on the Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye (played by Jeremy Renner) training Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to take on the mantle and become an Avenger.

What time will Hawkeye release on Disney Plus?

When Marvel and Disney first announced that the Marvel Cinematic Universe would be making the move into television on Disney Plus, it came with the confirmation of several shows.

WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and What If… have all already aired, but there was another confirmed series that fans were most looking forward to.

As a member of the original six Avengers from Avengers Assemble, until now Clint Barton was the only one not to receive his own story.

It will also mark the end of an era, as while unconfirmed, it is believed this will be the last time Renner will return to play the role.

Now, only Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as Hulk remain from the big six, so it is bound to be an emotional journey.

The show will kick off on November 24, with a two-episode double-feature premiere.

Disney Plus releases new episodes at 3am EST, or 8am UK time.

It is unusual for the streaming service to miss this time, so fans should expect to catch it early on the release date.

What is Hawkeye about?

Much like the rest of the MCU TV series, Hawkeye will be picking up the story after the game-changing conclusion of Avenger: Endgame.

The Avengers have brought everyone back from Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) snap and Hawkeye has been reunited with his parents.

However, Hawkeye’s deeds during the snap have caught back up with him, and once again he has to head out to stop a mounting criminal threat.

However, he is suffering from hearing loss and he wants nothing more than to retire from avenging the Earth.

This is where Kate Bishop comes in, a young woman that Hawkeye trains to take over his iconic mantle.

It looks as though Marvel is setting up the Young Avengers, an all-teenage version of the team from the comics.

Kate is one of the main members of the team, joining a revolving roster of characters, which could be later revealed in the expansive franchise.

In fact, Steinfeld has been open about her hopes for a Young Avengers team-up, recently addressing it in an interview with comicbook.com.

Steinfeld explained: “I mean, it’s always exciting, the thought of any character you play where it could go, and especially with something like this.

“But I just don’t think I’ve quite comprehended the fact that I’ve even gotten here, that I’m in this show and this show’s about to come out. So yeah, that’s where my head’s at.”

Series Executive Producer Trinh Tran added: “Obviously, I can’t say much, but there are heroes that have left the MCU and there are new people coming in.”

“I think our focus always is, ‘Let’s get Kate Bishop right here in this storyline. Let’s make sure that what people love about her on paper is going to be translated onto the screen.’

“And then, we can go from there and see how the future holds.”

Hawkeye will premiere on November 24 exclusively on Disney Plus.
