HELEN Skelton has hit back at trolls blasting her short skirts and admits Instagram pictures leave her 'wrestling with herself'.
The 37-year-old presenter of Countryfile and Summer on the Farm admits she loves social media but does debate about what she should post online at times.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, she said "everyone does" worry they're sharing too much.
She added: "I kick myself as I did loads of cool stuff that I don’t have pictures of.
"Not like now, Christ we take pictures of our sandwiches now! I wish I had pictures of me flying a Red Arrow jet.
"I think everybody wrestles with the Insta thing. I mean I regularly think ‘Oh I’m not going to put pictures of the kids on’ but then I just really like that picture so I put it on."
Helen, who has two sons with her rugby player husband Richie Myler, caused a furore back in 2016 and 2017 after she wore glam outfits which showed off her figure while presenting at major swimming tournaments.
Thankfully, the incident hasn't made Helen feel like she can't wear what she wants, when she wants, and she doesn't care what sort of comments such outfits might get online.
She explained: "Maybe I’m too needy but no I don’t [worry], I know it sounds stupid but I don’t have time for that.
"I’ll maybe put a picture on but I don’t have time to go through the comments. Don’t get me wrong I love social media, but I don’t get too hung up on comments because I don’t think the whole world is reflected on social media.
"It doesn’t bother me what some random person I’m never going to meet thinks about my skirt."
Helen will definitely have her pins out over the summer after teaming up with sun care brand Soltan on a new campaign.
Soltan wants to inspire families to get outside this summer, and be sun safe at the same time.
Helen said: "Getting outside and enjoying nature is great for physical and mental wellbeing, I have always been someone who has made the most of the great outdoors and enjoy an adventure.
"I think over the last 18 months we have exhausted our ideas bank, so I have teamed up with Soltan to come up with some top tips to help parents this summer – from fossil hunting and obstacle courses to cloud spotting and treasure hunts – all whilst safe in the knowledge that Soltan is offering sun protection for the whole family.”
Helen's top tips for outdoor family fun can be viewed on the Boots UK YouTube channel and customers can save 1/3 on Soltan Family Packs throughout the summer at boots.com/soltan.
