Holly Willoughby is set to embark on a new presenting adventure without long-time TV co-host Phillip Schofield in new BBC primetime survival show.
The This Morning host said she "can't wait" to pair up with comedian Lee Mack for BBC's new show Wim Hof's Superstar Survival which will see a set of celebrity stars take on 'death defying' challenges.
The series appears to be following a similar pattern to that of the Channel 4 hit Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins which has seen stars such as Katie Price and Kerry Katona tackle a series of military style challenges.
BBC's new show will be set across Europe's harshest environments and the show's guide, Wim Hof, earned his nickname after setting science-defying world records such as submerging himself in ice for almost 2 hours.
The Dutchman also climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in nothing but his shorts and shoes and ran a half marathon above the Article Circle whilst barefoot.
Speaking about the new show, Holly said: "Lee is a favourite in our house because he’s so hilariously funny and I’ve been a fan of Wim for a long time – he’s a genius who’s incredibly passionate about helping others.
"This show is going to be brilliantly entertaining and you never know…you may find out some things that could help you along the way too.”
Alongside the new show which will air on BBC One, a closer look into the challenges the celebrities will be facing is set to air on BBC Three.
Not Going Out and Would I Lie To You star Lee Mack quipped: “My passions in life are Wim Hof, watching ‘This Morning’ in my undies, sub-zero temperatures, looking at celebrities sitting in cold water and free hotels. But trying to find a show that combines these has proved tricky. Finally I’ve found one.”
Not only is Holly branching out in the world of TV presenting, but she is also launching a new wellness site which she has called Wylde Moon.
The former Celebrity Juice panelist is said to have been inspired by alternative therapies whilst filming for I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here and has created the new platform to share her tips for health and wellness.
Wim Hof's Superstar Survival is set to reach our screens next year.
