FORMER Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has lashed out this year's pairings.
The 42-year-old new dad was "on fire" as he took to Twitter to share his very honest views on whether this year's pairings will work or not.
James live tweeted the premiere episode of the 2020 series as part of his partnership with betting agency, Ladbrokes.
He warned ITV journalist Ranvir Singh would "struggle" after being paired with Giovanni Pernice.
James tweeted: "Ranvir and Giovanni …. first pairing I’m not feeling but too early to say. I have a feeling she might struggle but I hope I’m wrong although it hardly ever happens."
The outspoken star also thought actress Caroline Quentin "stands" well and has an "elegance" that would serve her well along partner, Johannes Radebe.
He then said BBC radio host Clara Amfo "is going to have so much fun with Aljaz [Skorjane] and that "being a DJ she must have rhythm".
James declared pop star HRVY and Janette Manrara as the "best pairing so far".
"I love them together – little pocket rockets," he wrote on Twitter.
James had positive things to say about the other pairs but thought EastEnders' star Maisie Smith would be another one to beat alongside her partner Gorka Marquez.
Despite his harsh criticisms, James finished off his live tweeting welcoming back the beloved BBC series.
"The good, bad and not so good," he wrote.
"Can’t wait for it to start now Good luck to all the pros and celebs on @bbcstrictly this year We all need a bit of good old family entertainment Stay safe all."
Fans told James was "on fire" for his brutal commentary, but loved watching out for what he had to say.
"Can't wait for it to get going properly… And for your honest comments," one Twitter user told him.
