Jordyn Woods has had a rough year. She’s been in the spotlight more than she’s accustomed to, and not for a great reason. The 21-year-old model was best friends with Kylie Jenner when it came out that she had kissed Khloe Kardashian’s former partner, Tristan Thompson, at a party.
During an episode of Red Table Talk, Woods shared her side of the story.
“Sunday night, I went to dinner with some friends and I went to this bar after … I was minding my business, dancing, drinking,” she said. “Tristan was there, he was doing his own thing. That was it … normal L.A. culture.”
Woods went on to say that she ended up at a party at the NBA player’s house.
“Never once was I giving him a lap dance, making out with him, sitting all over him,” she said. “It’s just … we’re all together. We’re in a group. Never once did we leave the public area [and] go to a bedroom [or] a bathroom.”
She did say, though, that Thompson kissed her as she was leaving–”no passion, no nothing. He just kissed me … it was a kiss on the lips. No tongue … no making out.”
The incident has left Woods completely ostracized from the Kardashian/Jenner family.

The scandal’s obviously caused Woods to reflect on the nature of fame, social media, and friendship. According to The Daily Mail, the model posted a tweet on July 17 that she quickly deleted. It said: “The internet and social media ruins relationships everyday.”
Shortly after Woods deleted the tweet, she posted a longer follow-up thought that perhaps better explained what she was trying to get at.
“We need to publicize better headlines.. who’s writes the articles? who decides what is posted on blogs? And why is there a new story every other day explaining “how I feel” about something I’ve never spoken to anyone about?” she wrote.
Woods is perhaps frustrated with how she’s being portrayed in the media and grows tired of reading reports about herself.
The fan response
Woods’ follow-up tweet inspired a mostly positive response in support of the model.
“Jordyn the reason why we go hard for you is because you keep on winning , Beyoncé said your best revenge is your paper , so don’t lose focus just concentrate on enjoying your life . U r only 21 life is just starting for you so enjoy to the fullest,” responded one fan.
“Because they’re trying their hardest to bring you down. The Kardashian’s are MAD AF that this didn’t go the way they wanted it,” wrote another.
But Woods’ tweet was met with a good amount of criticism as well.
“Babe, come on. You shouldn’t have messed around with someone man then go on TV & LIE. You’ll be in the news for a while longer yet!!!” wrote one Twitter user.
“shouldn’t have bitten the hand that didn’t just feed u, but indulged u with Michelin-star feasts,” responded another.
Perez Hilton responded saying: “Girl, you should be sending us flowers and baking us cookies!” suggesting that these “articles” are what keep her famous.
