Saturday night saw Halloween Week take place on BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, and the remaining contestants came out in full force for their chance to win the all-important Glitterball trophy. Judi Love returned on Saturday night after having to miss dancing in the competition last week due to contracting Covid-19 and needing to isolate. However, her return to the show didn’t go down well with the viewers as her Cha Cha Cha performance was slammed as she is predicted to return to the dreaded dance-off once again.
After performing their Cha Cha Cha to Olivia-Newton John’s ‘Physical’, the dancing duo waited anxiously for their scores from the judges.
Craig Revel-Horwood awarded Judi and Graziano a score of four, and Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke all awarded her a seven, totalling a total of 25 out of a possible 40.
However, fans of the show who had watched her performance didn’t agree with the judges scores and took to Twitter to express their views.
Carib Jawnn wrote: “Judi needs to go home, it’s week six, and her form and footwork has not improved in the slightest #Striclty.”
@busby4868 added: “#Strictly sorry Judi was definitely over marked, I think infants could be better at scoring than the judges tbh.”
Silvan Ledwell commented: “Sorry Judi, you need to put in a lot more time in the practice room, that Cha Cha was chillingly awful #BBCStrcitly #Strictly.”
“#Strictly Judi must go, what 3 judges were thinking with 7s is beyond me…” @trashseagull echoed from other viewers.
“Judi didn’t do much in her dance, she’s definitely going home this week #Strictly,” Dylan exclaimed.
However, some fans were positive about her performance and took into consideration she had just returned with her battle from Covid.
Kendal wrote: “Judi is an absolute gem, I love watching her dance #Strcitly.”
Ryan Glendenning added: “#Strictly I do feel for Judi tonight, I’m pleased she is back and she gave it a good go!”
Rebecca also commented: “Fair play to Judi! Came back from having Covid and absolutely rocked the Cha Cha! All love Judi #Strictly.”
After all the contestants had performed, Judi and Graziano were ninth on the leader board, with Sara Davis and Aljaz Skorjanec at the bottom with a score of 23 out of a possible 40.
Speaking on their performance to Claudia Winkleman and how she felt on her return to the show, Judi explained: “It was amazing, just stepping back, seeing Graz, seeing everyone.
“I just love everybody, and it was just fantastic, these few days have been rough, and I’ve had friends dropping into my house.
“And my daughter, who is only 16, Shan, mummy loves you, thank you so much for taking responsibility in this time when I was sick.
“I came home yesterday, and she cooked me rice, macaroni cheese, chicken, and salmon love you, Shan,” she proudly said.
Judi also praised the show for being supportive through her battle too, she said: “I’ve got to say thanks to Strictly because doing this dance.
“Getting healthier and fighting Covid, it really has helped me physically and health-wise, and it’s just an amazing experience.”
