Keith Lemon 'fears Celebrity Juice has been cancelled' after ITV2 fails to order new series of raunchy show

KEITH Lemon "feared Celebrity Juice had been cancelled" after ITV2 failed to order a new series of the raunchy show.

The 48-year-old comic joked he might soon be looking for a "normal job" after fears  Celebrity Juice  was on the brink of being cancelled.

Leigh Francis, who plays Keith, told the Daily Star : "It’s not on again this year, which is sad. Will it be back again? Who knows?

"I might have to get a real job. Hopefully we’ll be back next year. If not, it’s been a good ride and we’ve had a good time."

Celebrity Juice, which sees celebs compete against each other in a series of raucous and cheeky challenges, has had 25 series since it began in 2008.

The BAFTA winning show became ITV2's most-watched show.

Now the show – which for many years starred Holly Willoughby and Fearne Cotton – has been left off the autumn schedule for the first time since 2009.

Pre-recorded episodes will air at Halloween but it looked as though the broadcaster had not yet commissioned any episodes for 2022.

Keith's other shows Through the Keyhole and The Fantastical Factory Of Curious Craft have already been axed.

An ITV spokesperson said: "Celebrity Juice will be back on ITV2 later in the year."

Just last year Leigh made a tearful racism apology after being confronted by talk show host Trisha Goddard.

Leigh, who wore rubber masks to play stars in his show Bo’ Selecta, from 2002 to 2004, had been messaging Trisha, one of the black celebs he lampooned along with Craig David and Mel B.

Leigh, 47, sent a private apology to Trisha and in an emotional Instagram video said: “I didn’t realise how offensive it was.

"I just want to say sorry for any upset I caused whether I was Michael Jackson, Craig David, Trisha Goddard.”

Trisha’s daughter Billie, 30, thanked him and said it was “100 per cent the right thing to do”.
