Love Island viewers annoyed as show cuts to advert minutes into final

Love Island fans were left annoyed as the final episode was constantly interrupted by adverts.

The final episode of the series in South Africa cut to a break not even 10 minutes in, which left many fans fuming on social media.

"Not even 9mins and we have an ad already…," tweeted one.

Another chimed: "8 minutes in and there's already an advert it's gonna be a long night."

Many fans couldn't believe it, with another tweeting: "A break already," with several laughing emojis. "NOTHING HAS EVEN HAPPENED."

"Advert already wtf," wrote another. "I reckon after all the adverts tonight we will get about 20 minutes of a show."

To make matters worse, not even 10 minutes later, and there was another commercial break – making it two in 20 minutes.

"A break every 5 minutes, I guess I'll catch the show in the last 5 minutes at this point," wrote one viewer.

"How are we 20 minutes into the show and we’re on the 2nd break already wtf is this about," fumed another.

"I have never known a programme with so many breaks," commented one viewer, while another agreed: "20 mins in and 2 ad breaks? this is gonna be a long final."

Another fan observed: "It's b******* that a 90-minute game of football only stops for ads once, but we have to endure 17 ad breaks during a 45-minute episode of #loveisland."

While one joked: "Only 20 minutes in and already 2 ad breaks! Suppose they have to find some way to pay for all that back and forth to SA."

Some viewers even tried to see the funny side of all the interruptions, making light of Maya Jama and ITV2's blunders on Sunday night spoiling the final dumping of the series, where the presenter announced she'd be interviewing dumped couple Will Young and Jessie Wynter. before it had been revealed on the main show.

"I wonder if Maya Jama is gonna announce the winner before the break," they tweeted.

Another agreed: "Do you think they’ll announce the winner in the ad break ?"

One even joked about one of the final couples, Shaq Muhammad, 24, and Tanya Manhenga, 23, who have had a rocky road to the final thanks to Casa Amor: "The number of breaks we have during an hour episode of #loveisland are similar to the amount of breaks Shaq and Tanya have had during their relationship… far too many."

Along with Shaq and Tanya, the final is between them and three other couples: Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, both 25, Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, both 24, and Tom Clare, 23, and Samie Elishi, 22.
