Love Island favourites Liberty Poole and Jake Cornish turned a corner in their relationship during the latest instalment, but it ended in tears.

During a double “date” with Chloe Burrows and Toby Aromolaran by the villa swimming pool, Jake and Liberty started sharing their true feelings for each other as they lounged on the bean bags.

Liberty, 21, began by telling the group she’d “caught a little bit of feelings” for 24 year old Jake.

But while the embarrassed beauty laughed as she opened up about their connection, Jake went one step further and replied he’d already “fallen” for Liberty.

Overwhelmed by his unexpected display of emotion, Liberty struggled to regulate her feelings and ended up crying.

Jake’s admission reminded the Instagram star of her own insecurities in previous relationships.

Liberty has been desperate not to get hurt again, but as Jake finally starts to pull all his eggs in one basket, she could be ready to commit to him wholeheartedly.

But can she trust him? Some fans are worried about Jake’s head turning during the infamous days of Casa Amor.
