Peaky Blinders' Luca Changretta actor Adrien Brody looks VERY different in real life

PEAKY BLINDERS star Adrien Brody looks VERY different in real life to his alter-ego Luca Changretta.

The actor, 48, played the Italian-American gangster during series four.

Adrien joined the cast in 2017 as Luca, the leader of the Changretta mob.

He tried to take down the Shelby family after finding out that they killed his father Vicente and brother Angel.

But Luca only managed six episodes before he was shot in the head by Arthur Shelby.

Throughout his time on the BBC show, Luca looked extremely dapper in a three-piece pinstripe suit, smart coat and a plain felted hat.

The star also rocked a slick back hair style and no facial hair.

But in real life Adrien couldn't look more different.

The King Kong actor still has long hair, but is doesn't look like it has as much product in it.

Adrien also has an extremely impressive beard.

Writer Steve Knight knew that he wanted Adrien to play the role when he started writing.

Adrien previously told The Hollywood Reporter: "I guess it doesn't get much better than that.

"Especially when it's someone as accomplished and talented as Steve Knight, who wrote a role that rivals most gangster characters that you've seen. I've dreamt of playing that character as well."

He added: "I wouldn't have necessarily dreamt of writing that, so to speak, but I dreamt of finding, tonally, a role that was just like Luca Changretta.

"And it was such a fun thing to do.

"I felt welcomed. To jump on a show that you love with great writing and so many prime actors involved is exciting."

Of course, Adrien is a huge Hollywood star who still holds the record for the youngest ever winner of the Best Actor Academy Award.

He won the Oscar in 2002 at just 29 years old for his portrayal of Władysław Szpilman in The Pianist.

The star has also received the César Award for Best Actor.

Adrien has starred in a number of other TV shows and blockbusters such as Predators, The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Village.

Peaky Blinders returned to our screens for its sixth series on February 27 2022.
