Piers Morgan tells Ranvir Singh to show ‘more flesh’ on Strictly

Piers Morgan certainly knows how to charm a woman after telling his colleague Ranvir Singh that she’s looking ‘slinkier’ these days before advising her to ‘show more flesh’ to win Strictly Come Dancing votes.

Ranvir is preparing to make her debut on BBC’s Strictly in two weeks, joining the likes of Maisie Williams, Max George and Jamie Laing.

During Good Morning Britain on Wednesday, Piers and Susanna Reid couldn’t help but shower Ranvir with praise after seeing her new Strictly promo shot.

‘Can we just say Ranvir, you’re looking absolutely fabulous,’ Susanna complimented, to which Piers chimed in: ‘Can we not objectify Ranvir in the workplace please?’

Susanna then predicted on Ranvir’s odds: ‘16/1. I think that’s a cheeky little bet actually.’

Piers then took the opportunity to make Ranvir blush by noting: ‘Am I allowed to say you look a bit slinkier? That’s the most covered up you’re going to be all series. It’s going to get shorter and lower.’

‘I said I want more sleeve, below the knee,’ Ranvir joked.

Chiming in again with unwarranted tips, Piers said: ‘Here’s my warm advice to get to the early rounds is, more flesh, more votes. Simple rule, honestly. I can’t speak for the male species but, more flesh.’

He then joked: ‘In Richard Arnold’s case it was too much flesh.’

Ranvir had earlier admitted her shock that she would be hitting the dance floor in around 16 days.

Of course, she was in good company on the GMB panel as both Susanna and Richard have taken part in past series of the hit show.

There’s a small chance Ranvir and the rest of this year’s Strictly lot may not make it to the ballroom, with reports that the upcoming series could be axed if the UK goes back into national lockdown.

The hotly-anticipated series is expected to get underway later this month, however, it’s been claimed this could all change should Boris Johnson impose tougher restrictions in light of the second wave.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
