Who is the next host on SNL?
The host of the April 9 show will be Jake Gyllenhaal alongside musical guest Camila Cabello.
Jake Gyllenhaal's film, Ambulance, will arrive in theaters on April 8, a day before he hosts the show.
Camila Cabello's performance coincides with the release of her new album, Familia, on April 8.

SNL's April 2 show featured Jerrod Carmichael as host and Gunna as the musical guest.
The March 12 episode was hosted by Zoë Kravitz, who was joined by Spanish singer-songwriter, Rosalía.
Oscar Isaac hosted the March 5 episode and was joined by artist, Charli XCX.

On the February 26, 2022 broadcast of the long-running program, John Mulaney hosted the episode with musical guest LCD Soundsystem.
Mulaney's fifth time hosting resulted in him earning membership to the SNL Five-Timers Club.
Other members include Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin, Tom Hanks, Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Paul Rudd, Candice Bergen, and various others.
Mulaney previously hosted in April 2018, March 2019, February 2020, and October 2020 – He is also the fourth SNL writer to host the show.

SNL has been slow to announce new hosts for their upcoming shows, but the lineup for the first three weeks in April have been revealed:
- April 2, 2022: Jerrod Carmichael and musical guest Gunna
- April 9, 2022: Jake Gyllenhaal and musical guest Camila Cabello
- April 16, 2022: Lizzo will perform as both the host and musical guest
