‘SNL’: Harry Styles debuts new song ‘Watermeon Sugar’ and rocks painted nails, stuns fans

Harry Styles performed new song “Watermelon Sugar” during his turn as both host and musical guest on “Saturday Night Live,” in which he was very much up for the challenge of pulling double duty.

Styles played a wide variety of characters during his hosting stint (in which he rocked painted nails) — from an expectant dad to an airline pilot, to a Sara Lee employee abusing the company’s Instagram account — and his rabid fans couldn’t help but praise the singer.

He played the human manifestation of a dog opposite Aidy Bryant, which at least one fan absolutely needed. “Never knew how much I needed to see Harry Styles transferring into a dog until now,” @_sarahefisher wrote.

Twitter user @NormanGoldenll wrote: “Harry Styles is actually so good at hosting ‘SNL.’ He puts in the effort, and this is the first episode in a while that has made me laugh.”

Not everyone was as enamored, of course. “Who is Harry Styles? Why does he dress so bad?” @IceColdColeman wrote.

Styles donned a bedazzled black suit during his performance of “Lights Up” earlier in the episode. He released the song earlier this year.

“This is so beautiful I’m glad I’m alive in the same era Harry Styles is out there doing this,” @harryfitirene wrote.
