Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis celebrates son Saint's 4th birthday after custody battle

SOUTHERN Charm star Kathryn Dennis celebrated her son Saint's 4th birthday following a difficult custody battle with ex Thomas Ravenel.

The 28-year-old delighted fans as she took to her Instagram page with a series of snaps from his party.

One photo shows Kathryn beaming at Saint, who is sticking his tongue out – alongside his five-year-old sister Kensington.

Other images are just as playful, with the family enjoying an afternoon tea with loved ones.

The birthday boy was even served a doughnut with a candle in the shape of a four, and he had a special birthday message written on a blackboard with the note: "Mommy loves you!"

Kathryn captioned the post: "I love the boy that you are. I love the man that you’ll be. I love you son. Holy 4!"

Kathryn and ex boyfriend Thomas were at loggerheads over custody arrangements of their children until as recently as last week.

According to court documents obtained by All About The Tea, the pair finally "reached a permanent and complete agreement" to share joint legal and physical custody of their children.

Thomas, 57, is said to be the "primary custodian", with the paperwork detailing: "[Ravenel] shall have a duty to consult with [Dennis] on all major decisions involving the children, including, but not limited to, the children’s education, extra-curricular activities, religious training, non-emergency healthcare and general welfare.

"If after discussion the parties are unable to come to an agreement on an issue concerning the minor children, [Ravenel] has final decision-making authority."

The former couple are reported to have created a timesharing schedule in a bid to fairly divide their time with the children, in addition to a special occasions agreement for holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving.

In 2016, Kathryn lost sole custody of her children when she tested positive for marijuana and entered rehab.

At the time, Thomas was granted full custody, with Kathryn filing legal paperwork to take over as primary custodian in October 2018 when he was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

In September, Thomas received a 30-day suspended sentence after he pleaded guilty to third-degree assault and battery when the children's nanny accused him of rape.
