Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) is set to get his eyes opened in Coronation Street, as he starts to suspect his evil dad Geoff (Ian Bartholomew) isn’t as innocent as he’s making himself out to be.
Knowing that she poses a threat to him, Geoff has been making Alya’s (Sair Khan) life a living hell in an effort to reclaim control.
He goes one step further in the coming episodes, as — in spite of the warning she issued him with a couple of weeks back — the abuser arrives for work at Speed Daal.
Alya is outraged, and therefore orders him off the premises, but Geoff simply refuses to leave, and takes the opportunity to remind her that he legally has every right to be there.
Alya is left devastated, but there’s more heartache ahead, as the manipulative bully reveals he’s applied for an alcohol licence.
Determined to halt such plans, she reminds him that he needs Yasmeen’s (Shelley King) permission in order to acquire a licence.
The following day, Alya discovers a delivery of alcohol on Speed Daal’s doorstep, and — when she refuses to let him buy her out of the business — Geoff starts to sabotage the restaurant by cancelling several shifts.
Alya is left struggling alone with the takeout orders and, angrily, she throws everyone out of the premises, before proceeding to smash the place up in a frenzy.
What will happen when Geoff arrives with Tim in tow?
Well, it appears as if Tim might be starting to suspect there’s more to this situation than meets the eye, as Ryan (Ryan Prescott) reveals to him that Geoff has been undermining Alya for months.
With Tim unable to think about anything else other than his dad, he accidentally lets slip to Sally (Sally Dynevor) about the CCTV camera — something which leaves Sally in shock.
It appears as if Tim is starting to cop on to his dad’s nasty ways, but what will he do next?
Will he discover the true extent of Geoff’s abuse?
