Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) receives quite the shock in Coronation Street, after mum Elaine Jones (Paula Wilcox) drops off a bunch of toys from his childhood.
The young man takes a look at all the toys his mum has given him, but after doing so, he makes a huge decision.
He tells Sally (Sally Dynevor) that he doesn’t fancy being reminded of a childhood that never really existed.
Tim later informs Elaine that he’s thinking about stashing the toys in the attic, and she covers her disappointment, before reminding him that it’s up to him what he chooses to do with them.
Evelyn Plummer (Maureen Lipman) offers to sell them at a jumble sale, but matters are complicated when Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) reveals that one of the toys cars is worth £2,000!
Therefore, the race is on to locate the person who purchased it!
Tim finds out that it was Bernie Winter (Jane Hazelgrove) who bought the toys, and thus he buys the whole lot back for £30.
Elaine is delighted to discover that he’s managed to acquire all the toys once more, and suggests that he sell the vintage car and donate the proceeds to Oliver’s charity.
