Strictly Come Dancing 2019: BBC Radio 1 DJ Dev Griffin confirmed as thirteenth star to join line-up

Strictly Come Dancing have announced the thirteenth star competing in the upcoming series.

BBC Radio 1 presenter Dev Griffin will take to the dance floor once the series launches this autumn.

Speaking about joining the cast, Dev said: “I just can’t believe I’m doing Strictly, it just doesn’t feel real yet!

“It’s going to be so much fun, but just to be clear, I’m not doing this to take part, I’m totally in it to win it!”

CBBC presenter Karim Zeroual, chef Viscountess Emma Weymouth, paralympian Will Bayley and footballer Alex Scott complete the line-up so far.

Alex was also confirmed to take part today, saying: “I am absolutely buzzing to be signed up to Strictly.

“It’s the show I’ve always wanted to do and I can’t believe I’m finally going to be part of it.

“I’m super excited, but also terrified at the same time… The football pitch is a bit less glam than the ballroom, but I’m ready to try the sequins and dresses! Bring it on!”

Another two names are expected to be confirmed for the show, with The Sun Online reporting they will be rower James Cracknell and TV presenter Anneka Rice.
