Susanna Reid says she’s enjoying ‘TV Tinder’ following Piers Morgan’s GMB exit

Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid has joked she is enjoying ‘TV Tinder’ after Piers Morgan famously left the ITV show as her co-host.

Since Piers, 56, walked off of the GMB set and then announced his decision to step down from the show, Susanna has been joined by a string of guest hosts, from Richard Madeley to Adil Ray.

During an appearance on fellow ITV morning show Lorraine, host Lorraine Kelly asked Susanna, 51, how she felt about working with a “fair few fellas” while likening it to “speed dating.”

Susanna, 51, then quipped: “[It’s] TV Tinder. There’s my good friend Rob Rinder, I’m normally out in Ibiza with him.”

The presenter continued: “There’s Ed Balls who we know, of course, there’s Alastair Campbell as well, Richard Madeley, Adil Ray, Bill Turnball, Richard Bacon, Martin Lewis…”

She then smiled and laughed: “Goodness me, where does it stop?!”

However, mum of two Susanna confessed she loves working with different people each day, explaining it’s been great to get to know them.

As Lorraine quizzed Susanna on if it’s been difficult to create bonds with each other her co-hosts Susanna answered: “I do [enjoy it.]”

However, she refused to be drawn on who her favourite new male co-host, saying: “And, as the late, great Bruce Forsyth would say – they’re all my favourites!”

“Because to me, it’s important that whoever is on screen, the relationship has to work.”

Susanna went on to say: “They are all talented in their own ways and they’ve all got a wealth of experience and a unique experience to bring to the programme.”

She rounded off her thoughts, adding: “Again, it’s a privilege working with them all.”

Elsewhere in her chat with Lorraine, Susanna opened up on ITV’s plans to celebrate International Women’s Day, which will take place on Tuesday March 8.

To mark the day, Susanna and her female colleague who work across daytime TV gathered together for a special photoshoot.

Speaking about how it felt to bring the women together, Susanna explained: “With some clever planning, we had this incredible photograph of all these women – and those are just the women on ITV daytime.”

“It’s remarkable, isn’t it? What an incredible sisterhood. That photograph just shows how far we’ve come and that we’re awash with talent.”
