The Masked Singer fans think theyve predicted hidden celeb behind Mushroom

The line up for The Masked Singer has finally been revealed for the new season, and one of the new contestants looks like a real fun guy.

With the judges and shiny new contestants gearing up for the new season of the hit TV show that will air in January 2022, the new line-up looks incredible and we are so excited about one of the new contestants.

The fun guy, or should we say funghi, in question is non other than… Mushroom!

One fan thinks they've cracked who might be hiding under the mushroom costume, guessing that it could be Shaun Ryder who has previously appeared in I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

ITV and The Masked Singer have given a warm welcome to Mushroom for the UK version of the show, but the US has previously seen a mushroom contestant too.

The Masked Singer US had a contestant in a Mushroom costume, who turned out to be Aloe Blacc, the star who sings I Need A Dollar.

With the new season of The Masked Singer a matter of weeks away from airing on ITV – fans are already anticipating who will be starring in the 2022 series, with many taking to social media to air their predictions.

One took to Twitter and said: "#MaskedSingerUK predictions based solely on costumes – because that's how it works right… Doughnuts – Ben Shepherd, Panda – Kaya Scodelario, Bagpipes – Susan Boyle, Poodle – George W Bush, Insect – Steve Backshall, Robot Rabbit – Liz Bonin."

Before continuing: "Chandalier – Sia, Pufferfish – Ellen, Traffic Cone – Ken Jeong, Snow Leopard – Leona Lewis, Mushrooms – Shaun Ryder, Firework – Katy Perry. Some logic to all of them. Doubt I've got them all right!"

Ahead of the launch, host Joel Dommett spoke about the show, before dropping a huge bombshell: "There is one in particular and I couldn’t believe it.

"It's really cool, the first few reveals have been brilliant.

"I can’t believe that these people have stood next to me the entire time even though they are covered up."
