Tommy Fury to return to the boxing ring after Love Island stint

TOMMY Fury has announced his return to boxing months after his stint on Love Island.

The reality star, 20, took a break from professional boxing to appear on the ITV dating show, but now he's fighting fit and ready to enter the ring again.

He announced the date on his Instagram with a video, captioned "Are you ready" with the date of the match – December 21.

He'll be fighting on the same night as Daniel Dubois and Kyotaro Fujimoto's heavyweight bout.

The video shows the heartthrob – who is the youngest brother of boxing champ Tyson Fury – preparing for the big match.

Not only does it show his super fast punches in the gym and his hands getting wrapped, but also a glimpse of him in shiny red and silver pants as he goes for his weigh-in.

Before appearing on Love Island, the star fought in two professional bouts as a Light Heavyweight fighter.

This comes days after viscous trolls begged him to break up with girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague, 20, to focus on his boxing career.

The pair met on the reality show and have been loved up every since – even moving into a lavish Manchester flat together.

Underneath a comment on one of Molly's photos, the troll said: "Tommy she doesn't deserve [you]. Leave this girl before your boxing carrier [sic.] really started."

However, it's unlikely that will happen any time soon as Molly said they are "meant to be" together.

Meanwhile, Tommy reportedly has a spin-off show with his Love Island pal Curtis Pritchard in the works.

The Boxer and The Ballroom Dancer will see them swap their respective professions and follow their friendship.

A source told The Sun: "ITV wanted to explore a series for them, but didn’t just want a silly contrived fly-on-wall bromance type of show.

"Instead, they’ve come up with this career swap.”

Fans can expect three one-hour long episodes on ITV2.
