Coronation Street’s Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) will be the victim of a violent attack tonight – and all eyes are on Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) in the wake of the assault. But is he really behind it or has someone else punched Sean? The tension has been simmering all week, with Billy Mayhew’s (Daniel Brocklebank) boyfriend not exactly hitting it off with Sean.
Things come to a head when Sean witnesses Paul conducting what looks like a dodgy deal before then presenting Billy with expensive Bluetooth headphones. And later, when the charity box at the surgery goes missing, Sean is quick to point the finger in Paul’s direction for the theft.
After the police are called, Sean is affronted when Paul bursts into the Rovers and has an aggressive go at him.
And later, after Sean’s shift, he heads home through the ginnel and is suddenly punched to the ground. Has Paul’s temper got the better of him?
And, if so, can Billy forgive him for this act of violence?
Coronation Street airs an hour long episode at 7:30pm on Friday 5th July on ITV.
